Basically, these are “active” agents that have the backing of a broker to sell real-estate to clients. For example, a real estate agent from Coldwell Banker is an associate licensee. In order to qualify for this job, they must take a test particular to the real estate laws of the state they desire to practice in.

An associate licensee plays a huge role in the transaction of a property. When it comes to sales, associate licensees must be knowledgeable. It is an associate licensee’s job to be engaged and involved with a buyer. This may include organizing open houses, closing a deal, drafting agreements, corresponding with the seller, or the seller’s agent.
