Negative Fraud

DEFINITION

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

EXPLANATION

Negative fraud is when a party conceals a fact or withholds information. For example, a seller knows that foundational aspects of his or her home has many challenges that, if discovered, would unfavorably lower the value of the price, including issues like cracks and mold. To avoid the property value being substantially reduced, the seller conceals these material facts. This is considered fraudulent.
